Dutch Postcode Lottery
Since 2019, Both ENDS is a beneficiary of the Dutch Postcode Lottery. We use this unearmarked support to develop our organisation and to invest in innovative activities aligned with our Strategy 2021-2025.
Due to the trust that the Postcode Lottery shows in our work, we have been able to start “Dare to Trust”, through which we’ve granted unearmarked financial support to 14 grassroots women’s groups around the world. Additionally, we’ve investigated our own power relation towards our partner organisations, developed a system of care for partner organisations in trouble, and worked on the strengthening of our own organisation.
The Dutch Postcode Lottery has also given extra support to specific projects, like GAGGA’s Autonomy and Resilience Fund and All Eyes on the Amazon.
About the Dutch Postcode Lottery
The Dutch Postcode Lottery was founded in 1989 to support non-profit organisations working on a sustainable and just world. The lottery raises funds for these organisations and promotes their work. In 2023, the Postcode Lottery raised €349 million which it distributed to 176 organisations.

1,380,000 euros from the Dutch Postcode Lottery for local women’s groups
We are delighted that the Dutch Postcode Lottery has approved our proposal to support an extra project to the tune of 1,380,000 euros! The proposal, for an Autonomy and Resilience Fund (ARF), was submitted by the Global Alliance for Green and Gender Action (GAGGA), which comprises the Fondo Centroamericano de Mujeres (FCAM), Mama Cash and Both ENDS. With the ARF, GAGGA works with Small Grants Funds to help local women's groups become resilient in a changing world in which it is increasingly difficult for them to hold their heads above water. The award of this large sum of money means an enormous boost for many women's organisations, and this is badly needed at a time when economic, climate and health crises are constantly putting the resilience of women, their communities and their living environments around the world to the test!

Both ENDS beneficiary of the Dutch Postcode Lottery!
On Tuesday 26 February Both ENDS was surprised by a very special visit: the Dutch Postcode Lottery stopped by to tell us that Both ENDS has been chosen as a beneficiary and has been allocated an annual donation of €500,000 for the coming five years! This is great news for us, as we can now expand our plans and take them to another level. Our director Danielle Hirsch explains.
