Both ENDS’ participation at COP29 includes three critical side events that will highlight gender-just climate finance, locally-led adaptation, and multilateral approaches to a just energy transition and industrialisation in the Global South.

GAGGA November 15th: “Locally-Led Adaptation as a Means to Achieve Gender-Just Climate Finance and Policy”

  • Happening in partnership with the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO), Government of UK, in the UK Pavillion

Both ENDS November 18th: Exploring multilateral approaches to a just energy transition and industrialisation in the Global South

  • Happening in partnership with FARN, Latindadd, INESC, Dialogue Earth, and SEATINI.
  • 06:30 PM GMT +4
  • This side event will focus on exploring the implications and conditions for a just energy transition and industrialisation in the Global South, focusing on humans rights, governance, technology, and finance. It will discuss multilateral efforts and trade policies to drive a fair transformation in the energy sector.

GAGGA November 21st: “Locally-Led Adaptation for Gender-Just Climate Finance”

  • This official COP29 side event will highlight Indigenous women and grassroots leaders shaping climate finance to ensure it truly serves the most vulnerable communities in conversation with policy makers.
