Recognition for PROBIOMA from the Chamber of Deputies of the Plurinational State of Bolivia

PROBIOMA have received recognition from the Chamber of Deputies of the Plurinational State of Bolivia. The presentation of this tribute took place at the Museum of Natural History Noel Kempff Mercado, in the framework of the Environment Day.

"Recognition to PROBIOMA congratulating it for its long trajectory and outstanding institutional work contributing to national development in agroecology, promoting food sovereignty and socio-environmental research since 1990, showing its commitment to the protection and conservation of the environment in our Plurinational State of Bolivia".

This recognition not only honours the 34 years of work, but also reinforces commitment to the protection and conservation of the environment. Every step PROBIOMA have taken has been with the aim of leaving a positive and lasting impact on our land and our people.

"We thank all those who have been part of this journey, those who have believed in our mission and all those who work with passion and dedication at PROBIOMA on a daily basis. This recognition encourages us to move forward with more strength and determination."

Probioma and Both ENDS share a long term history. First collaboration was through the Encyclopedia of Sustainability in the 90s when Both ENDS supported Probioma's work on biological pest control. Over the years we shared agenda's in the struggle against large scale soy production in Bolivia and consumption in the Netherlands, the canalisation of the Paraguay Paraná river to facilitate the export of natural resources and the ongoing desertification. Furthermore, we worked on the protection of the Pantanal and jointly promote agroecology in policy and practice. Probioma and Both ENDS have been and are collaborating in joint projects and networks such as the (former) Rios Vivos Coalition, Drynet and the Wetlands without Borders program.
